Gas Line Facts: Colonial Pipeline Company

For those of you on the East Coast, as you wait in a gas line or pay new, higher prices, you'd might like to know something about how that gas to the pump. Colonial is back up to 38% after restarting...
Colonial Pipeline delivers a daily average of 100 million gallons of gasoline, home heating oil, aviation fuel and other refined petroleum products to communities and businesses throughout South and the Eastern United States. Colonial has more than 5,500 miles of pipeline stretching from Houston to New York harbor.

With the return to service of additional electrical power in Mississippi later today, Colonial said it expects to operate at 61 percent of normal capacity by the end of Sept. 1. Both gasoline and distillates are currently being transported and delivered.
