Pakistan to take turn at helm of Task Force 150 on April 24

Navy Times notes Pakistan to take turn at helm of Task Force 150. TF150 "patrols the waters off the Horn of Africa and within the Gulfs of Aden and Oman and the Arabian Sea, according to Cmdr. Jeff Breslau, public affairs officer for 5th Fleet/Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain.

Formed in December 2001 in response to the terrorist attacks on New York and the Pentagon, Task Force 150 rotates command among coalition member nations. The intent is to deny terrorists and other transnational threats use of the sea in that region."

Pakistan is the first Muslim nation to head TF150 as noted here.
