Friday Films: "The DEW Line Story" (1958) and the US Navy Role in Cold War Early Warning

As set forth in Guarding the Cold War Ramparts: The U.S. Navy's Role in Continental Air Defense, the U.S. Navy played a signifcant role in early warning defensive measures.This effort included aircraft, radar picket destroysers, and converted Liberty ships classified as AGRs. These ships were part of the "Guardian-class". Some of the aircraft included modifed Constellation airplanes, the EC-121D "Warning Star". Interesting times.
