I didn't realize that the keel failed and the ship broke in half before sinking. What type of accident could cause such a catastrophic failure in this class of ship? Seems more suspicious to me now.
From the picture of the vessel suspended from the crane it appears that the keel is still intact as well as the underwater body that can be seen from starboard side view.
