Thailand, Indonesia to join Strait piracy fight and US money might help, too

The Jakarta Post reports on a new effort to help keep the Malacca Strait open for business here- this time with Thailand, Indonesia and maybe some US money.
"Pirates in the Strait of Malacca have proved how easy it would be for maritime terrorists to operate there," said author Bronson Percival.

He urged the U.S. government to allocate US$30 million over five years to help the Indonesian navy beef up intelligence and operations in the region.
