A Long Beach woman who claims her home was destroyed in Hurricane Katrina by shipping containers and other unsecured port equipment has filed a lawsuit seeking more than $2 million.Playing the lawsuit lottery...
Attorneys for Charlotte Williams have filed suit against the state port at Gulfport, State Port Authority, Mississippi Development Authority and at least five shipping companies.
The lawsuit seeks compensatory damages of at least $2 million and punitive damages in excess of $1 million.
