Russian and Japanese Coast Guard exercise anti-terrorist drills jointly

The coast guards of Russia and Japan do a joint exercise in counterterrorism as reported here:

The exercises are simulating the search and detention of a vessel seized by terrorists, the rescue of the seized vessel's crew, and the rendering of assistance to a ship in distress...

Reps from China, South Korea and the United States on hand as observers in "Peter the Great Strait." (I don't know this strait - though it might be Peter the Great Bay, off Vladivostok).
